Responsibilities

Greet guests with a friendly, energetic demeanor as they arrive, making them feel valued and appreciated Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS system Maintain an organized waitlist and communicate wait times clearly to guests Assist with guest inquiries over the phone, demonstrating professional phone etiquette and excellent communication skills Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and smooth flow of service Uphold cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, ensuring a welcoming environment at all times Handle guest concerns promptly and courteously, striving to resolve issues and enhance overall guest relations

Skills

Previous experience as a host/host or in food service is highly preferred Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members Familiarity with restaurant POS system is advantageous Experience in hotel or hospitality environments is a plus, demonstrating adaptability across guest services settings Knowledge of serving standards, guest relations, and hospitality best practices Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a friendly, approachable presence
