Position Overview





Hospitality Services staff take a proactive approach to providing a high-quality guest experience and have a meticulous and committed work ethic. Their passion lies in hospitality and positively impacting the guest experience by demonstrating proven customer service skills.



Hospitality Services is responsible for overall lodge cleanliness in common areas. They supports the Culinary team by preparing and serving the Apres snack and assisting with the clean-up process in the kitchen.



This is a seasonal job opportunity. The CMH winter season runs from December to April. Hourly rate of pay is offered working an average if 14-21 hours per week depending on operational needs. The position will start at 11:45pm daily.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities



Weekly care of staff rooms which includes making beds, cleaning washrooms, vacuuming, and cleaning the staff house kitchen Clearing and washing guest and staff dishes. Support the culinary program with preparing, serving and clearing Apres. Execute the cleaning of all common areas of the lodge and look after lodge laundry. Provide a professional, highly organized, and detailed hospitality experience. Support the ski program by assisting with radio duty and rescue response. Adhere to OH&S and WHMIS standards. Help support implementation of CMH health and safety initiatives. Help support implementation of CMH sustainability initiatives. Train, participate in and provide support, as required, during emergency response situations.


Minimum Qualifications



Post-secondary education in hospitality field, preferred. Food Safe Certificate. First aid certificate, preferred. Minimum 2 years' hospitality experience in a high-end, fast-paced environment. Background in luxury hospitality or fine dining, preferred.

Able to prioritize tasks in a complex and fast-paced environment with seasonal workload fluctuations and changing priorities. Confidence to interact with all levels of the company in a hub-and-spoke model in which many individuals are remote. Trustworthy, goal-oriented, respectful, and self-directed in completing the core functions of the role. Sees projects through to completion including follow-up on any identified issues. Strong sense of work ethic and accountability, with an ability to function well in a team environment and focus on team success. Effectively prioritize tasks, responsibilities, and goals; use goals to guide actions and create detailed action plans.


Working Conditions



This type of hospitality work is challenging and demanding. Successful staff are intrinsically motivated by a passion for hospitality and creating memorable experiences with our guests. This job is in Golden, BC. Employees are required to find their own accommodation and drive to the lodge 5 minutes from town for work shifts. Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position up to 20 pounds on an occasional basis. This position is required, at times, to work on evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the needs of the business. This position may require occasional travel to CMH areas, as well as some travel to industry functions on an occasional basis. Compensation





A competitive hourly rate starting between $19-$22 based on skillet, qualifications and experience will be provided, along with 4% vacation pay and gratuities. Further details will be discussed in a personal interview.
