Job Details

Position Title: Hospitality Receiving Technician, RPT

Status: Part-time permanent

Hours: up to 24 hours per week

Faculty/Department: Faculty of Business

Campus/Location: North Campus

Pay Range: $19.73/hr - $23.87/hr

What you will do:

The Hospitality Receiving Technician supports the service operations of the Receiving Department and Culinary/Baking Labs at Humber College. Some key responsibilities would include:

  • Breakdown returned food wagons, check quality of products and discard any compromised food products
  • Conduct end-of-day reset for culinary/baking labs. Maintain par stocks of cleaning supplies, paper goods and food products on a daily basis.
  • Restocking equipment to ensure accurate par levels. Small wares inventory/control/organization.
  • Conduct equipment functionality quality check and follow-up with lab maintenance Coordinator for any deficiencies. Submit a work order, if required.
  • Deliver and pick up special equipment to and from lab/service area
  • Repair reporting and follow-up with lab Maintenance Coordinator
  • Assist with wagon building
  • Perform data entry into FoodTrak Software. Input invoices, and prepare costing reports.
  • Ensuring the receiving area is clean
  • Assist with receiving goods
Qualifications

What you bring to the role:
  • Minimum one-year certificate in a Culinary Program or equivalent
  • One-year practical work experience related to the environment, which demonstrates knowledge of Health and Safety and Food safety regulations. Basic office computing skills.
