Day shifts go from 0800 to approximately 1730. You will typically care for 18-20 patients.
On Call
Rest easy when you finish your day shift--our team keeps evening and overnight call separate. We work 1-2 evening/overnight shifts per month, starting at 1700 and ending at 0800. Payment for these shifts is 8 hours of APP rates, plus MOCAP thereafter.

If you're a US-trained physician with ABMS certification in internal medicine, you may be eligible to practice medicine in British Columbia under the USA certified class.

Vernon Jubilee Hospital (VJH) is a 196-bed facility and a beacon of healthcare excellence in Vernon, British Columbia. Serving as the primary hospital in the North Okanagan region, VJH provides comprehensive acute care along with advanced medical services and technology.



The unveiling of the Polson Tower marked a significant expansion, boosting outpatient services and introducing specialized units for maternity, pediatrics, intensive and coronary care. Subsequent growth saw the addition of medical inpatient facilities, a fifth operating theatre, and a sophisticated MRI. The hospital's future looks even brighter with the planned construction of a 44 single-occupancy room psychiatric unit by 2029.
