Job Description

Our security organization is currently accepting applications for part time and casual Hospital Security Guards. The successful candidate will be mature, responsible and be willing and able to work all shifts including weekday, weekends and holidays. We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You will identify and report incidents at our client's permanent and temporary sites. You will be responsible for the security and safety of our clients' property. The Security guard will tour the facility to identify any irregularities, observe protection and fire control equipment, uphold order, and enforce regulations for the facility in regards to the premises, personnel and visitors. You will be required to control the flow of traffic in and out of the facility. You will be required to respond to all emergency situations throughout the hospital and clinic.In accordance with the provincial directive , security guards assigned to hospital facilities will be required to provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination (1st and 2nd dose)Responsibilities:

• Ensure the security, safety, and well- being of all personnel, visitors and the premises.
• Enforcing By-Law and Trespass to Property Act.
• Assist medical personnel with medical emergencies.
• Adhere to all company service and operating standards.
• Immediately respond to all emergencies to provide necessary assistance to employees, patients and visitors.
• Protect the company's assets relative to theft, assault, fire and other issues.
• Follow procedures for various initiatives, including fire prevention, Parking enforcement,
• Property Patrol, traffic control, accident investigation, and property damage.
• Dealing with and not limited to intoxicated persons, mental health / substance abuses and
• aggressive individuals.

Qualifications:

• Valid security license, First Aid, and CPR.
• 2+ years post-secondary graduate or current student in Law and Security/ Police foundations and or equivalent experience.
• Canadian Citizen or permanent resident of Canada, at least 18 years of age.
• Physically and mentally able to perform the duties outlined in the Standard operating procedures.
• Valid Ontario G Driver's license - Must have reliable transportation
• No Criminal Convictions for which no pardon has been received.
• Ability to deal with stressful situations, including confrontational and physical.
• Capable of following complex instructions and have strong interpersonal skills.
• Use of Force Training.
