Job Description
Job Duties As a Horticulture Technician, you\xe2\x80\x99ll take part in completing a diversity of special projects around the Ottawa area. You\'ll be in charge of the installs, as well as the maintenance of these projects. We are seeking an individual with a background in Horticulture & a few years of work experience.
Hours of Operation
- Monday to Friday from 7am to 5:30pm (Hours may vary)
- Seasonal (May-December)
General tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Spring and fall cleanup of gardens.
- Maintaining flowerbeds: weeding, cultivating, edging, and deadheading
- Pruning shrubs
- Winterizing gardens
- Using gardening and power tools (backpack blowers, hedge trimmers, etc.)
Requirements
- Willingness to work in a variety of weather
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Be able to commute to/from the job sites as needed
- Background in Horticulture
