About Us

Covert Trenchless Solutions is an underground utility contractor specializing in

horizontal directional drilling (HDD) and hydrovac services

for major telecommunications and civil infrastructure projects. We are committed to safety, efficiency, and quality installations that keep our clients' networks running strong.

We are looking for experienced

HDD Drillers and Locators

to join our team for the upcoming build season. If you have worked with

JT20/JT10 drills

and

Subsite locating equipment

in telecom projects, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Operate and/or locate HDD drilling equipment (JT20, JT10) safely and efficiently. Utilize

Subsite locating systems

to guide bore path and avoid utilities. Read and interpret prints, as-builts, and locate reports. Perform daily maintenance checks on drills, support trucks, and equipment. Coordinate with hydrovac crews for daylighting and utility exposure. Complete drill logs, meter counts, and site documentation accurately. Follow CTS's

OH&S-compliant safety procedures

and client-specific requirements. Work collaboratively with crew members to achieve daily production targets.
Qualifications

2+ years' experience

in HDD drilling or locating (telecommunications/civil networks). Hands-on experience with

JT20 and JT10 drills

and

Subsite locating equipment

. Strong understanding of underground utility construction and safe work practices. Ability to read and understand telecom prints and alignments. Valid driver's license (Class 3 with air brakes is an asset). Safety tickets (First Aid, H2S, Ground Disturbance, CSTS, etc.) considered an asset. Willingness to travel for projects and work outdoors in varying conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
