THE OPPORTUNITY




Western Forest Products is looking for a

Hooktender

to join our

TFL 6 Jeune Landing Forest Operation

located in

Port Alice, BC

.

What We Offer:



United Steel Worker (USW) union wage rate of

$44.91

Shifts:

This position is currently on a

5x2 shift, 5 days on and 2 days off

.

These positions are considered safety sensitive. All successful candidates will be subject to a pre-employment drug test.

QUALIFICATIONS



Education and Experience



Fully qualified in all aspects of the job with minimum 2 years of experience in BC Coastal Logging; Preference may be given to the applicant who has had training in First Aid/WHMIS, and/or holds a valid OFA Level 3 Certificate.

Skills, Knowledge and Required Competencies



Excellent safety record and strong work ethic; Highly motivated team player with excellent time management skills; Creative and innovative thinking; Logical problem solving; Accountable and dependable; Demonstrated ability to work both as part of a team and with minimal supervision.
