Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for completing and maintaining standards of care within their scope of practice as defined by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
Travels to Client's homes to provide medical and personal care within the care plan
Administering medications, including OTC and high alert medications
Monitoring Client's status and evaluating needs
Assess the Client, prioritize needs, applying critical thinking and judgement
Provides education, emotional, psychological support to patients and families
Adhere to infection-control protocols where applicable
Be a team player and may provide transfer of accountability (TOA) to oncoming nursing staff and Clients family
Provide accurate and timely documentation
Clear and accurate communication with family and the Company, or medical staff involved in the circle of care
Maintaining confidentiality of all associated private and medical data
Qualifications
Registered and in good standing with their regulatory college
A current Certification of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check (the employee assumes the cost of obtaining a VSC)
Obtain and provide proof of having professional liability insurance (For RN/ RPN position)
Reliable vehicle access. Vehicle maintained in good working order
$1 million automobile insurance if using a personal vehicle to visit client homes
Valid Provincial class G or G2 driver's license (travel required)
Current CPR or BLS certificate
Asset
Experience with pediatric population
Comfortable working independently
Shows initiative

Pay: $26.00-$28.00 per hour
