We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Support Worker to join our dedicated care team. Duties
Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health status or behavior
Administer medications following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations for confidentiality
Support residents with memory care needs such as Alzheimer's disease or dementia by implementing specialized care techniques
Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed
Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, sanitation, and organization of living spaces
Use equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts safely to assist with mobility and prevent injury
Document patient observations, care activities, and progress accurately in compliance with healthcare standards
Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to develop and update individualized care plans
Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive and engaging environment
Qualifications
Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred
Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are advantageous
Experience working with people with developmental disabilities, autism, or those requiring dementia or Alzheimer's care is desirable
Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and vital signs measurement is essential
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using appropriate equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and healthcare teams
Demonstrated understanding of infection control practices including cleaning protocols and medication administration standards
