Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team for specific client residing in Okotoks, Alberta. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing care to individual with disabilities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role involves assisting client with daily living activities, promoting independence, and enhancing their quality of life.

Duties

Provide personal care assistance to client, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment. Support client with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for client. Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, family members, and other team members.

Qualifications

Required to have Health Care Aid Certificate or Diploma or proof of healthcare or related training. Previous experience in home care, patient care or caregiving is preferred. Knowledge of assisted living or nursing home procedures is a plus. Ability to lift and move individuals with disabilities and varying needs safely. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and their families. Understanding of hospice care principles is advantageous.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.83 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week

Okotoks, AB T1S 1H9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
