Qualifications:

Seeking individuals wanting a long-term career opportunity that has flexibility, is compassionate, caring, and with a genuine interest in improving the quality of life of others. We are seeking caregivers that are willing to take initiative and work well independently or as part of a team. Ability to speak and write well in English needed. The ability to speak another language is an asset! Must be able to take the bus and /or drive to work.

Must live in the Nanaimo Area or immediate vicinity.

A smartphone with data is necessary for schedule and reporting purposes. A criminal record check is required and 1 professional references are required.

Types of care we provide:

Companionship. Light housekeeping. Meal preparation. Dementia Care Personal Care Laundry Outings/Taking clients to appointments (client based) Help client with bathing/toileting (client based)

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care and support to residents in assisted living and nursing home settings. Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation, medication reminders, and personal hygiene. Engage with patients suffering from dementia or disabilities, ensuring their comfort and safety. Maintain a clean and organized living environment, adhering to health and safety standards. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to monitor and report changes in patient conditions.

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
