Job Overview

As a Home Health Care Aide, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in need of assistance within their homes. Your compassionate care and support will empower clients to maintain their independence while ensuring their safety and comfort. You will work closely with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to deliver personalized care that meets each individual's unique needs.

What you'll do

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Monitor and document vital signs, ensuring accurate medical records are maintained. Provide compassionate care for individuals with Alzheimer's and dementia, fostering a supportive environment. Administer medications as prescribed and assist with catheter care when necessary. Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to document patient care effectively. Support clients with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts, ensuring safety during transfers. Maintain a clean and safe living environment through regular cleaning and laundry tasks. Collaborate with families and healthcare teams to develop tailored care plans that meet the specific needs of each client.

Basic qualifications

Experience in home health or senior care settings is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with HIPAA regulations is essential. Certification in CPR is required to ensure client safety during emergencies.

Preferred qualifications

Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or hospice care is advantageous. Familiarity with EHR systems will enhance your ability to manage patient documentation efficiently. A background in long-term care or assisted living environments is a plus.
