Spanish speaking Home Health Care Aide

What you'll do

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Monitor and document vital signs, ensuring any changes in health status are communicated effectively. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Administer medications as prescribed and assist with medical documentation to maintain accurate health records. Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems to track patient information and care plans efficiently. Support clients with mobility needs using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and provide catheter care when necessary. Maintain cleanliness in the client's living space, including laundry and light housekeeping tasks. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs.

Basic qualifications

Experience in home health or senior care settings is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with HIPAA regulations is essential. Certification in CPR is required to ensure client safety during emergencies.

Preferred qualifications

Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care is highly valued. Familiarity with hospice care practices and long-term care experience will enhance your effectiveness in this role. Proficiency in using EHR systems will be beneficial for maintaining accurate medical records.
