Job Overview

As a Home Health Care Aide, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in their homes. Your compassionate care and support will empower clients to maintain their independence while receiving the assistance they need. You will work closely with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure that every individual receives personalized care tailored to their unique needs.

What you'll do

Provide compassionate assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Monitor and document vital signs, ensuring accurate medical records and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist clients with medication administration and educate them on their health conditions. Offer support for individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and hospice care. Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems to maintain up-to-date patient documentation and communicate effectively with healthcare teams. Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and cooking to create a safe and comfortable living environment. Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts and assist with catheter care as needed. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.

Basic qualifications

Strong understanding of medical terminology and experience with EHR systems. Certification in CPR or First Aid is preferred. Previous experience in home health care or long-term care settings is highly desirable.

Preferred qualifications

Experience working with seniors or individuals requiring memory care. Proven ability to observe patients closely and report changes in their condition effectively. Familiarity with caregiving best practices for individuals with disabilities.
