Overview


We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Care Aides to provide exceptional in-home care to clients with diverse needs. This role involves supporting patients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence within their home environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, excellent communication skills, and a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those they serve. Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or working with individuals with disabilities is highly valued. Responsibilities



Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and observe patient health status, including vital signs and overall well-being Administer medications following prescribed protocols and document medical records accurately Support patients with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care strategies Operate Electronic Health Records (EHR) or EMR systems to update patient information securely and efficiently Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, Hoyer lift transfers, and hospice care support Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning tailored to dietary restrictions or medical conditions Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe and sanitary environment Document patient care activities clearly in medical documentation systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care plans are followed

Qualifications



Proven experience in home health, senior care, long-term care, or assisted living environments preferred Knowledge of medical terminology and caregiving best practices for patients with disabilities or chronic conditions Certifications such as CPR and first aid are required; additional training in dementia or Alzheimer's care is advantageous Ability to work independently while following detailed care plans and protocols Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work compassionately with patients experiencing cognitive or physical challenges Experience working with EMR/EHR systems and medical documentation standards preferred Valid driver's license may be required for travel between client locations Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $17.56-$19.00 per hour
