Job Overview


We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Care Aides to provide exceptional in-home care to clients with diverse needs. This role involves assisting individuals with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence within their homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, experience with various medical and personal care procedures, and a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those they serve. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with clients requiring long-term or short-term care, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those recovering from illness or surgery.

Duties



Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and observe patients' conditions, reporting any changes or concerns promptly Administer medications following prescribed instructions and document medication administration accurately Perform vital signs assessments including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates Support clients with specialized care needs such as Alzheimer's, dementia, memory care, hospice, and palliative care Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) or EMR systems to document patient information securely and accurately Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, Hoyer lift transfers, and wound care as trained Prepare meals tailored to dietary restrictions and assist with feeding when necessary Perform light housekeeping tasks including laundry and cleaning to maintain a safe environment Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality at all times

Requirements



Prior experience in home health care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings preferred Knowledge of medical terminology and documentation practices in medical records or EHR systems Certification in CPR is required; additional certifications such as medication administration or dementia care are a plus Ability to work independently while following care plans and protocols accurately Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and healthcare teams Compassionate attitude with a focus on patient-centered care Ability to work with people with developmental disabilities or other special needs effectively Experience working with individuals with Alzheimer's disease or dementia is highly desirable Valid driver's license preferred for travel between client locations (if applicable)

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $17.75-$18.00 per hour
