Job Summary


We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Care Aides to provide exceptional in-home care to clients with diverse needs. Client wants Caucasian staff preference. This role involves supporting patients in maintaining their independence, ensuring their safety, and enhancing their quality of life. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care, familiarity with medical terminology, and a genuine passion for helping others. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with individuals requiring assistance with daily activities and medical needs, promoting dignity and comfort in their own homes.

Responsibilities



Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Monitor and observe patient conditions, reporting any changes or concerns promptly Administer medications and manage medication schedules in accordance with healthcare plans Take and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration Support patients with mobility using assistive devices like Hoyer lifts and provide safe transfer assistance Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, wound care, and hospice support as needed Maintain accurate medical documentation using EMR/EHR systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and assist with meal planning and preparation Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment Support clients with cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer's disease or dementia through specialized memory care techniques Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being Follow care plans meticulously and communicate effectively with healthcare teams

Qualifications



Proven experience in home health care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and patient documentation systems (EMR/EHR) Certifications such as CPR or First Aid are preferred; ongoing training is encouraged Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's/dementia care, or hospice is highly desirable Ability to work independently while following detailed care plans Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to patient care Ability to lift or transfer patients safely using assistive devices like Hoyer lifts Valid driver's license may be required for community-based services Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
This role is vital in providing personalized home health services that improve the lives of clients while fostering a supportive environment for both patients and caregivers.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
