About the Position:

The successful candidate will assist and provide services in the Home and Community Care Program for LLRIB community members. You will be working in the homes of our clients, providing necessary home management, personal care & respite assistance.

Duties:

Apply a knowledge-based Home Health Aide practice independently and in collaboration with the client and other health care professionals to promote independent living of clients; Must be able to provide home management, personal care and respite assistance to clients;

Use skills and interventions to meet physical, social/cultural, emotional and spiritual needs of the client; Other duties as assigned by supervisor/and or designate;

Qualifications:

Home Health Aide or Continuing Care Aide certificate preferred; Minimum grade 12 or equivalent;

Must be able to work independently and collaboratively with the home care team; Must be self-directed and demonstrate organizational skills; Previous home care or acute care experience is an asset; Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver's License;

First Aid/CPR Training certification is an asset and/or willing to obtain;

Ability to speak/understand Cree is a definite asset;

Experience working with a First Nations community is a definite asset;

Satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Screening and Driver's Abstract required upon hire;

Must possess a Driver's License;
