Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our transportation and logistics team. In this vital role, you will coordinate home deliveries in Alberta working with customers and our home delivery teams. Your proactive communication skills and technical expertise will help streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and support our commitment to excellent service. Duties

Coordinate and dispatch daily runs for home delivery utilizing our routing software. Utilize GPS and routing software to monitor vehicle locations, optimize routes, and improve delivery times. Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, warehouse staff and clients, while maintaining professional phone etiquette. Enter data accurately into transportation management systems, including shipping & receiving logs, freight details, and fleet management records. Manage shipping schedules by coordinating with 3PL providers and internal departments to ensure timely pickups and deliveries. Oversee freight documentation processes, including shipping manifests, delivery confirmations. Maintain clear communication channels through phone calls, emails, and system updates to ensure all customers are well informed about upcoming deliveries.

Skills

Strong knowledge of transportation management systems like DispatchTrack Proficiency in transportation planning tools for route optimization. Experience with freight logistics, shipping & receiving procedures, and supply chain operations. Excellent analysis skills for reviewing transportation data to identify efficiencies or issues. Effective dispatching abilities combined with exceptional communication skills and professional phone etiquette. Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
