Private duty home nurse caring for a child with medical needs:

We are recruiting nurses

(RN/LPN)

to add to a nursing team caring for a pediatric client.This job will entail providing 1:1 respite care in the home environment, monitoring and caring for the child with medical needs.

Paid training is provided.

Shifts are flexible, scheduled for when you are available. Can be scheduled around another job.

Duties include: medication administration, personal care, assessments, G-tube care, and monitoring and use of medical devices (all training is provided and examples may include: peritoneal dialysis, oxygen, CPAP, etc). The nurse may would be responsible for the care of the child so the parents can have a break.

Care will be provided in the child's home and/or surrounding community.

Positions available:

4hr morning shifts, occasional evening shifts with a young child (RN/LPN) 6-7hr dayshifts with an elementary aged child (LPN only) 8hr overnight shifts (LPN only)

Qualifications:

Current 'practicing' registration with BCCNM Valid CPR 'C' / BLS certification Demonstrated ability to work independently. Strong verbal and written interpersonal communication skills.
