Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Aide to provide essential support to an individual in Fort Saskatchewan Monday to Saturday 10am -2 pm, mechanical lift experience an asset. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities, ensuring they receive the care and attention necessary for their well-being.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Administer medications as prescribed and ensure compliance with medication schedules. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences. Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment. Assist clients with mobility, including heavy lifting when necessary. Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to supervisors or family members.

Qualifications

Previous experience in senior care or caregiving is preferred but not training provided for the right candidate. Strong verbal and written English skills required Ability to perform safe lifting as needed for client mobility support. Experience working with persons with disabilities is highly valued. Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanor towards clients. Ability to prepare meals that meet dietary restrictions and preferences. Understanding of dementia care principles is beneficial. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
