Job Description

We are looking for a care aide for a senior male, as respite while his wife is out of town. The client lives in the False Creek area with visitor parking available in his condo building. He is a stroke survivor and has some heart issues. He is mobile but is on a catheter and requires help with catheter care, ADL's and meal prep.

For the period from Oct 24 to Nov 11, we are looking for a caregiver for 2 types of shifts:

Evening from 8 or 8:30 pm, for Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays. Duties involve helping the client with a shower and dressing, changing the catheter bag, and bedtime routine.

Early morning from 6 to 9 am on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Duties involve helping the client get up and dressed, changing the catheter bag, making breakfast and medications.

myCareBase is an online platform that connects families who are caring for an aging loved one, with caregivers looking for work. We help families and paid caregivers facilitate the recruitment, vetting and placement process.

We want to help you find more clients! You set your own hourly rates, and have control of when and where you want to work. There is no cost to be included on our platform.

Accepted candidates will go through an assessment and vetting process to ensure a consistent level of quality on our platform. This process will include a job reference check (so please be prepared to provide 2 job references) and a criminal background check.
