Burlington Base Company is seeking a skilled and motivated Hollow Metal Fabricator and Welder to join our growing team. This role is essential to our production of high-quality, custom hollow metal doors, frames, and related products. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in metal fabrication, welding, and blueprint reading.
Responsibilities:
Fabricate and assemble hollow metal frames, and components to precise specifications.
Modify and rework hollow metal doors.
Perform MIG welding on 20 gauge,18 gauge, 16 gauge and 14 gauge steel.
Read and interpret shop drawings, hardware templates and technical schematics.
Operate cutting, shearing, and punching equipment safely and accurately.
Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in metal fabrication and welding (MIG).
Strong knowledge of hollow metal door/frame construction (preferred).
Ability to read and understand templates and fabrication drawings.
Skilled in measuring, layout, and using fabrication tools.
Commitment to safety, quality, and meeting production deadlines.
Welding certification is not required.
