Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic associate to join our team of 'elves' for the holidays. The ideal candidate recognizes that a keen eye for detail and taking pride in creating a high quality product for our valued clients is of high importance. This role will require assembling gift boxes and baskets utilizing our various techniques and materials. Being able to work at a swift, yet accurate pace is crucial to meet the demand of holiday volumes. A pat on the resident labradors head is rewarded with tail wags.

This is not a desk job and does require some physical stamina.

Monday-Friday - 8am to 4pm; no evenings

Long term, part time employment after the holidays may be considered for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Assemble gift baskets and boxes to a high standard of detail and finishing. Accurately and efficiently fill orders per custom requests. Preparing gifts for shipment & organizing daily deliveries for our drivers, couriers or pickup. Manage inventory levels, including restocking shelves and organizing merchandise. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. May require Input order into our system to generate courier & post labels or other light admin tasks for those with clerical/computer skills. Some deliveries may be required (company compact car provided) Assist management as needed.

Experience

Previous shop, clerical or creative experience welcomed but not required. Comfortable using google maps & GPS if making the occasional deliveries. Valid BC drivers license with clean abstract. Reliable transportation to and from work. Ability to stand on your feet while working with your hands in front of you. Ability to occasionally climb stairs or lift 40 lbs. A fast worker that doesn't dilly dally, yet strives for a job well done. Strong communication skills and a friendly, positive attitude are essential to team and shop efficiency. Desk-top computer skills may be needed for: email, texts, data entry, typing, etc. Reliable and punctual with a clear sense of time management. Takes direction well and learns quickly. Enjoys working as a team, yet capable of self managing as needed.

After the holidays, permanent long term employment may be considered to the right candidate. If you have additional skills that add value to our growth (social media, photography, marketing, sales, administrative, management, writing, etc.), you'll be well compensated accordingly and additional hours are available. Job Type: Seasonal

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
