Hockey Skate Sharpening Technician
Job Description
Duties:
- Sharpen & profile hockey skates using manual, automatic and computerized machines for retail & professional customers.
- Educate customers on benefits of skate blade profiling
- Perform technical tasks and repairs as assigned
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment and systems
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous skate sharpening experience is preferred
- Knowledge & experience in ice hockey is preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using various tools and equipment
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
