Nearly half of Canadians are expected to be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, and the hockey community is no exception. Over the years, members of the hockey family have been affected by cancer.

Together with the National Hockey League (NHL) and National Hockey League Players Association (NHLPA), the Hockey Fights Cancer(TM) partnership inspires hope and courage for people who are living with, going through and moving past cancer across Canada.

Funds raised through our partner program HFC Assist provide compassionate support services when they are needed most - such as accommodations during cancer treatment, transportation to and from appointments, and reliable, trusted information to make life better for people with cancer.
Description
The Nova Scotia U16AAA and NB/PEI U18M Regional Hockey Showcase will be having a hockey tournament from October 24 to 26 at Credit Union Place in Summerside, PEI.

On Saturday October 25, from 10:00am to 4:00pm we are looking for 2 volunteers to greet the public, thank them for attending, hand out our daffodil pins, and be an overall positive ambassador representing the Canadian Cancer Society. A table and chairs will be provided at the arena. We will reimburse you for mileage.
Why we need you
To help fundraise for support programs and services provided by the CCS.
What we're looking for
Must be willing to stand and walk at times. Please wear comfortable shoes and pants.
