About Three Brother Academy
Three Brother Academy is a private pod-style school combining academics with structured athletic development. Our hockey program provides students with

, off-ice conditioning, and leadership-building activities designed to help young athletes grow both on and off the ice.
We are looking for a reliable and development-focused
Hockey Coach
to lead daily training sessions, oversee off-ice structure, communicate with parents, and assist with basic ice maintenance.
Position Overview
The Hockey Coach will oversee:
Daily on-ice development sessions
Off-ice conditioning and athletic training
Basic ice maintenance and rink readiness
Weekly structured training themes and progression plans
Parent updates and communication
Ideal for someone passionate about youth hockey development who excels in structure, communication, and leadership.
Key ResponsibilitiesDaily On-Ice Coaching
Lead daily skill development (edges, skating technique, puck handling, shooting, game awareness).
Execute weekly plans with clear goals and progressions.
Maintain a safe, high-energy, and disciplined training environment.
Provide individual feedback and support.
Off-Ice Training
Run age-appropriate off-ice sessions (agility, coordination, strength basics).
Align off-ice work with weekly development themes.
Teach warm-ups, stretching routines, and athletic habits.
Ice Maintenance & Rink Readiness
Support basic ice care and maintenance tasks before or after practice (e.g., shoveling snow, edging, helping maintain clean and safe ice conditions).
Ensure the ice surface is ready for training and flag any issues that require facility support.
Communication & Parent Reporting
Provide short, consistent updates to parents and staff on student progress.
Communicate highlights, concerns, or development needs promptly.
Participate in weekly planning meetings to align training goals.
Qualifications
Experience coaching youth hockey (required).
Strong understanding of skating fundamentals and skill development.
Comfortable performing basic ice maintenance tasks.
Excellent communication skills, especially with parents and young athletes.
Ability to lead structured groups in a positive, engaging way.
Vulnerable Sector Check (required or willingness to obtain).
NCCP or Hockey Canada certification is an asset but not required.
