Summary of responsibilities
The Clinical Informatics Support Analyst is a key member of the Clinical Informatics team, responsible for performing routine and project-based maintenance, testing, and validation of enhancements to the electronic health record (EHR) system and related healthcare technologies. In collaboration with other Clinical Informatics professionals, the analyst ensures system performance, troubleshoots issues, and supports the implementation of system optimizations.
The role includes assisting with system configuration, upgrades, and the ongoing maintenance of Cerner and other supported applications, with a focus on maintaining the technical integrity of the EHR system. The analyst works closely with the team to troubleshoot problems, implement improvements, and optimize clinical workflows through the effective use of health information systems.
Performs project tasks as assigned by manager. All projects will be aligned with hospital priorities and support the mission, vision, and values of the Cornwall Community Hospital.
Requirements of the job
Community College or Undergraduate Degree in Allied Health Discipline or Nursing
Solid understanding of processes within healthcare.
Strong communication skills, including an emphasis on customer service.
Thorough knowledge of Cerner EHR.
Proficiency in mobile technologies and handheld devices (i.e., using iOS and Android).
Proven analytical skills.
Experience working with Microsoft Office applications.
Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
Demonstrated regular, punctual attendance.
Demonstrated commitment to patient safety.
Functional proficiency in English (oral and written).
Assets:
Experience bridging users and providers of IT/software solutions.
Certification in Clinical Informatics or Health Informatics or CPHIMS-CA or actively working towards it
