We're growing our Quality Engineering team - and to help accelerate the process, we're hosting a Hiring Sprint from November 3rd to November 7th 2025. This is an opportunity for qualified candidates to move through our interview process efficiently, connect directly with our team, and potentially receive an offer by the end of the week. We designed this sprint to make your experience faster and more transparent: you'll hear back from us by the end of each interview day so you always know your status. While interviews aren't guaranteed for every applicant, we encourage you to apply early and keep that week open if you're interested in joining StackAdapt.
Here's what to expect during the Hiring Sprint week:

  • Day 1: Recruiter Screen (30 mins)
  • Day 2: Hiring Manager Interview (60 mins)
  • Day 3: Technical Interview (60 mins)
  • Day 4: Final Interview (90-120 mins)
  • Day 5: Offer (if successful)
Our Quality Engineering team is responsible for ensuring StackAdapt's products are reliable, scalable, and deliver an exceptional experience for our users. In this role, you'll be hands-on in developing automation test cases, improving test coverage, and integrating these tests into our CI/CD pipeline. You'll collaborate closely with Product, Platform, and DevOps teams to enhance software quality, accelerate defect detection, and continuously improve our development process.

StackAdapt is a remote-first company - we are open to candidates located anywhere in Canada or the United States for this position.
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated and functional test scripts and tooling across areas such as functional, system, API, integration, UI, and regression testing
  • Collaborate with Platform, Product, and DevOps teams to deploy and execute automated tests within CI/CD environments
  • Provide timely, actionable feedback on test results to engineering and QA stakeholders
  • Participate in technical planning, code reviews, and architectural discussions
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency, stability, and coverage
What You'll Bring to the Team:
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with API & UI test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Mocha, Jest, or JUnit
  • Proficiency in at least one of: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Java
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI
  • Strong understanding of scalable system design for web-based APIs and backend processing systems
  • Deep understanding of QA methodologies in a software company with frequent release cycles
  • Experience writing comprehensive test cases that include edge cases, compatibility, and concurrency scenarios (experience with TestRail is an asset)
  • Familiarity with relational databases and the ability to query large data sets using SQL
