Production - Communication and Employee Management
Schedule the labour requirements for the shift to ensure production goals are met within the budgeted cost structure.
Provide daily feedback to employees through coaching and administer performance appraisals.
Complete shift briefings to ensure the effective communication of relevant information to all employees.
Quality and Food safety - Technical Skills
Monitor all aspects of processing activities to ensure compliance with the Company's Quality Management Program, HACCP program, regulatory and customer/buyer's requirements. Ensure employees perform work in compliance with established standards. Reinforce that GMP, GHK, food safety, SQF, Food safety, Food Security, Work instructions and company policies and procedures are followed. Ensure Operational inspection is carried out to monitor floor procedure and processes are complying.
Ensures product being produced is within specification, if any deviations are found they must be immediately reported to Q.A. Manager..
Other Duties
Ensure the workplace remains clean, organized, and safe.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, including adherence to safety, anti-violence, and anti-harassment regulations.
Take on other related tasks as assigned by the Senior Production Manager.
Requirements
Demonstrated experience in a leadership or supervisory position within a manufacturing setting
Completion of a diploma or bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent practical experience
Must have legal authorization to work in Canada
At least 3 years of hands-on experience in a directly related role
Over 3 years of experience in a supervisory capacity
Familiarity with HACCP, WHMIS, or other chemical safety training is considered an asset
