Responsibilities
Provide engaging one-on-one and group tutoring sessions in key social studies areas (History, Geography, Civics, Global Studies).
Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the school curriculum.
Encourage discussion, debate, and inquiry to promote higher-order thinking.
Support students in research, essay writing, and source analysis.
Assess student progress through assignments, projects, and practice assessments.
Maintain regular communication with students, parents, and academic coordinators.
Integrate digital tools and resources to enrich instruction.
Foster an inclusive, respectful, and motivating learning environment.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Education, History, Political Science, Geography, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Strong subject knowledge in core social studies disciplines.
Prior experience tutoring or teaching high school social studies (grades 9-11).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to adapt instruction for diverse learners and learning styles.
Familiarity with online learning platforms and modern educational resources is an asset.
