Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Early Childhood Educator (ECE), Level 2 or 3, to join our lab school team. The successful candidate will bring a commitment to early learning, along with the ability to create engaging, nurturing environments where children feel safe, curious, and supported. This position includes implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum, guiding daily classroom routines, and fostering children's social, emotional, and cognitive growth through responsive, innovative teaching practices and individualized support.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum with a focus on holistic early learning. Plan and deliver engaging learning experiences tailored to diverse needs, including strategies that support early intervention and inclusive education. Guide daily classroom routines using positive guidance and effective classroom management practices. Support children through responsive care. Maintain a safe, organized, and stimulating learning environment that encourages exploration, independence, and meaningful engagement. Collaborate with colleagues to uphold strong child?centred practices and ensure the well-being of all children in the program. Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to curriculum planning, developmental observations, and children's progress. Build strong relationships with families by communicating regularly about developmental milestones, learning goals, and strategies for supporting children's growth.

Requirements

Valid certification at Level 2 or 3 in Early Childhood Education (ECE). Prior experience in child care setting environments is preferred. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with families and colleagues. Knowledge of Pyramid Model is an asset.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $27.07-$31.56 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
