Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate debate and Special Education Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children with disabilities and a strong background in early childhood education. This role involves developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), fostering an inclusive classroom environment, and supporting students' academic and social growth. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, patience, and a commitment to helping students reach their full potential. Prior classroom experience and familiarity with special education strategies are highly valued.

Responsibilities



Develop and implement tailored lesson plans that meet the unique needs of students with disabilities Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and parents to create effective IEPs Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting instruction as needed Provide one-on-one tutoring in subjects such as math and reading to support individual student goals Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages social interaction and emotional development Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate progress to stakeholders Ensure compliance with all special education laws, policies, and safety regulations

Requirements



Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field; advanced certifications preferred Experience working with children, particularly those with disabilities or in early childhood settings Knowledge of special education practices, classroom management, and adaptive teaching techniques Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and team members Ability to create engaging lessons that incorporate tutoring in core subjects such as math Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support students' academic and personal development Prior classroom experience in special education is highly desirable
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 per week

Work Location: In person
