We are seeking a skilled developer with a strong foundation in core Java fundamentals to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience building large-scale applications using Java and JavaScript. Experience working on client platforms and familiarity with software development methods are strongly preferred. The role requires performing due diligence in all lifecycle stages of analysis, build, and testing. The candidate should have the ability to write effective unit tests and extend code coverage, as well as troubleshoot problems in test and production environments. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team are essential.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 6-9 years of experience in Java development
- Proficiency in JavaScript
- Experience with large-scale application development
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work in a hybrid model (3-4 days a week) in Toronto
- Multi-stack engineering experience
- Experience with functional programming
- Familiarity with enterprise frameworks
- Develop and maintain large-scale applications using Java and JavaScript
- Collaborate with team members to perform analysis, build, and testing
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in test and production environments
- Contribute to the extension of code coverage through effective unit testing
