Duties

Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload freight using forklifts and other heavy equipment as needed. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on vehicles as necessary to ensure optimal performance.

Requirements

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required. Experience in heavy equipment operation is preferred. Familiarity with freight handling procedures is a plus. Forklift certification is highly desirable. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform minor automotive repairs. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Must pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment.
