Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tractor Trailer Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently while adhering to all regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to operate heavy equipment.

Duties

Operate tractor trailers to transport freight to designated locations in a timely manner. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload freight using forklifts and other heavy equipment as necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked and mileage driven. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Perform basic automotive repair and maintenance on the vehicle as needed to ensure optimal performance. Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while on the road.

Qualifications

Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required. 3 -Year experience in commercial driving with a strong understanding of freight transportation processes. Proficient in operating forklifts and other heavy equipment related to loading and unloading freight. Basic knowledge of automotive repair is preferred, enabling the driver to perform minor repairs when necessary. Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage time effectively. Must pass a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
