Highway Straight Truck Driver

We are looking for enthusiastic, team players in Ottawa, ON area. As a Highway Driver your job will be to make deliveries at different stops. We offer full time opportunities.

Company vehicle will be provided.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Safely operate a straight truck and deliver goods to various destinations. Physical labor/handling of shipments weighing upwards of 50-75 lbs. Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues before and after trips. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations as well as with company policies and procedures Load and unload deliveries through a variety of mechanisms and delivery assistance devices. Use technology to map routes, deliver/pickup/track shipments and communicate universally. Ensure documents are delivered and entered accurately. Maintain route supply inventory to ensure prompt delivery to customers. Organize freight while doing pickups and deliveries. Perform all customer tasks in a polite, resourceful, and professional manner and overall excellent customer service throughout the process. Document and log work/ rest periods and miles spent driving Maintain vehicle cleanliness Any other duties as required.

Basic Requirements:

1-2 years experience driving professionally preferred. DZ license with air brake endorsement required Ability to multitask and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner. Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work. Reliable and strong work ethic. Ability to work independently and make responsible decisions. Criminal Record Check Required
