Position: High-Rise Construction Project Manager Location: Kitchenet Waterloo Area

Role Overview: We are in search of an accomplished High-Rise Construction Project Manager to join a dynamic team devoted to supervising and delivering high-quality, inventive, and punctual construction projects in the Kitchenet Waterloo area. The selected candidate will assume responsibility for managing the entire lifecycle of high-rise residential construction projects, ensuring their completion within established budgets, adhering to schedules, and aligning with the company\'s quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to devise comprehensive project plans encompassing scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
  • Construction Oversight: Manage all construction aspects, including site preparation, foundation work, structural elements, MEP systems, interior finishes, and final inspections.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, review cost reports, and make informed decisions to ensure cost-effectiveness while upholding quality standards.
  • Schedule Adherence: Implement and manage project timelines, ensuring timely milestones and deadlines. Identify potential delays and apply mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Quality Assurance: Enforce rigorous quality control measures to confirm that final outcomes meet or surpass industry standards and company expectations.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to minimize potential disruptions and deviations from the project plan.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and inspire on-site teams, including contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders, fostering collaboration and productivity.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal teams, clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies. Provide project updates, address concerns, and facilitate effective decision-making.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all construction activities adhere to local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master\'s preferred).
  • Proven track record of successfully managing high-rise residential construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction processes, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, along with the ability to motivate teams.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software, scheduling tools, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Professional certifications (PMP, LEED, etc.) are advantageous.
