We are seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the minds of young adults, fostering a positive learning environment, and inspiring students to achieve their academic goals. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to engage with students effectively in a classroom setting.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
Educate students on various subjects, ensuring they grasp key concepts and skills.
Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
Assess student performance through regular evaluations, providing constructive feedback to promote growth.
Offer tutoring sessions to students needing additional support outside of regular class hours.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and classroom activities.
Manage classroom behavior in accordance with school policies, promoting respect and responsibility among students.
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on educational best practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject area; teaching certification preferred.
Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational setting is highly desirable.
Must be able to teach Math (Grades 9-12), Chemistry, Grade 12 Physics (an asset)
Strong ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively to students of varying abilities.
Proven experience in classroom management and creating an inclusive learning environment.
A passion for education and a commitment to student success.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the community to support student achievement.
