Apex Educational Consulting Services Inc. is seeking a motivated and dedicated High School Tutor to join our team and help students excel in their academic pursuits. As a tutor, you will provide one-on-one academic support in various subjects, fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. Duties

Provide academic support for students in grades 9 to 12. Assess students' individual learning needs and, when applicable, develop customized lesson and instructional materials plans based on educational standards to address specific academic challenges. Offer individualized tutoring sessions in subjects such as Math, Science, English, and Social Studies. Help students complete assignments and develop executive functioning skills that promote independent learning. Assist students in developing effective study habits, time management skills, and test-taking strategies. Track and report on students' academic progress, identifying areas for improvement and adjusting tutoring strategies accordingly. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other educational staff to ensure a comprehensive approach to student learning and development. Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, student progress, and feedback for future reference.

Qualifications

Prior experience in tutoring, teaching, or working with students in an educational setting. OCT certification and/or experience working with students with special needs is an asset. Strong knowledge of curriculum standards and teaching methodologies for the relevant subject areas. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and parents. Ability to adapt teaching styles to meet diverse learning needs and preferences. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in tracking student progress and maintaining records.

Pay: $30.00-$60.00 per hour
