Position Overview:
We are seeking a confident and experienced Math and Science teacher to join our academic team. This is a classroom-based, in-person teaching role that focuses solely on instruction and student support--no grading or report cards required. Ideal for an experienced educator looking for meaningful teaching without the paperwork, or a newly certified teacher seeking classroom experience in a professional, fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Grade 9-10 Science, and Mathematics from Grade 9 through to Calculus and Vectors
Ability to teach Grade 9 French an advantage
Support student learning and comprehension using provided curriculum materials
Provide real-time feedback and clarification to students during class
Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment
Collaborate with staff to support student-athlete success
Manage classroom behaviour with professionalism and confidence
Qualifications:
Experience teaching Ontario curriculum high school Mathematics (up to Calculus and Vectors) and Science (Grades 9-10)
Bachelor of Education and/or relevant university degree
OCT certification is an asset
Demonstrated classroom management skills are essential
Ability to engage and motivate student-athletes
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A calm, professional presence and a desire to contribute to program life.
