Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to provide academic support and guidance to students in various Science subjects (Science 9,10/ Chemistry, Biology, Physics Gr11-12). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education, with experience working with children and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. This role involves one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions, helping students improve their understanding of STEM sujects.

Duties

Conduct individualized tutoring sessions tailored to each student's learning needs and goals. Assist students in understanding complex concepts in various Science subjects (Science 9,10/ Chemistry, Biology, Physics Gr11-12) Create engaging lesson plans and educational materials that promote active learning. Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their academic performance. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other educational professionals to support student development. Utilize effective teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles, including those of students with special education needs. Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress.

Requirements

Proven experience working with children in an educational setting. Strong tutoring or teaching experience (At least 2 years), particularly in Science. Excellent computer skills for creating lesson plans and utilizing educational technology. Ability to speak Mandarin would be a plus. Classroom experience is preferred, showcasing the ability to manage group dynamics effectively. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students and parents. Pay: $25.00-$50.00 per hour
