High School Science Teacher
Job Description

Our aim is to facilitate academic excellence and inspire students to achieve success in their educational, personal and career endeavours. Our school requires certified teachers with experience in Science, Chemistry, Biology to join our growing team. Ideal candidates are expected to have a teaching qualification (B.Ed. Or M.Ed) and at least a year of experience teaching at a secondary level. International experience is desirable. Classes take place between 9:00AM - 4:00PM, Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Creating engaging lesson plans and work with students to ensure success
- Ensuring compliance with all Ontario Ministry of Education guidelines and curriculum requirements
- Preparing students for exams and competitions in your field
- Evaluating student progress continually and create report cards on a monthly basis
- Attending teacher meetings to help give constructive feedback and suggestions for school improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters of Education
- at least one year of teaching Science, Chemistry, Biology experience
- Member in good standing, with the Ontario College of Teachers (as per Section 262 of the Education Act.)
- Effective interpersonal and organizational skills and experience
- Curriculum development, conflict management and evaluation experience
- Experience working in an international academic setting (preferred)
- Strong work ethic and commitment to teamwork
- Computer proficiency and experience with databases, Mac OSX and Microsoft Office
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 2 months
