Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in classroom education and a commitment to helping students achieve their academic goals. As a Tutor, you will work closely with students to provide personalized instruction and support, fostering a positive learning environment that encourages growth and confidence.

Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to the individual needs of each student. Develop and implement lesson plans that align with educational standards and student learning objectives. Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly to ensure effective learning outcomes. Communicate regularly with students and their families regarding academic performance and areas for improvement. Create engaging educational materials and activities that stimulate interest in the subject matter. Maintain a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes student motivation and self-esteem. Collaborate with teachers and other educational staff to align tutoring efforts with classroom instruction.

Qualifications

Proven experience in classroom education or tutoring, particularly with children of various age groups. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey concepts and engage students. Ability to educate in a clear, concise manner while adapting to different learning styles. Patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for teaching, with a genuine desire to help students succeed. Familiarity with various educational resources and tools that enhance the learning experience. A background in specific subjects or areas of expertise is preferred but not mandatory.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
