Job Overview



We are looking for a

confident and experienced High School Physics Tutor

who loves helping students understand the "why" behind the formulas. The ideal candidate has a strong command of the

Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)

Physics curriculum, can solve and explain challenging problems clearly, and knows how to make physics engaging and relevant.

You'll work closely with students in Grades 11 and 12, helping them strengthen conceptual understanding, refine problem-solving strategies, and build exam confidence -- all within our supportive and inspiring learning environment.

Key Responsibilities



Teach

SPH3U and SPH4U

topics with clarity, precision, and enthusiasm. Provide

individualized and small-group lessons

that adapt to each learner's pace and needs. Break down complex physics problems step-by-step, emphasizing conceptual reasoning. Use interactive methods -- simulations, visual aids, and real-world examples -- to bring lessons to life. Track student progress and communicate updates to families and coordinators. Support students in developing critical-thinking, analytical, and exam-strategy skills. Create a positive, encouraging learning atmosphere that promotes curiosity and confidence.

Qualifications



Bachelor's degree (or higher) in

Physics, Engineering, or a related field

.

Experience with the OSSD Physics curriculum (SPH3U and SPH4U)

is required. Previous

tutoring or classroom teaching experience

at the high-school level. Exceptional ability to

explain complex concepts simply and logically

. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Passionate about inspiring students to see physics as both logical and exciting.
