Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Online MathTutor to support Grade 11-12 students in achieving their academic goals. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, strong communication skills, and experience working with high school students. This role involves providing personalized instruction in various subjects, including math, Calculus and Science, to help students improve their understanding and confidence. The Tutor will play a vital role in fostering a positive learning environment and encouraging student success.

Responsibilities

Deliver one-on-one or group tutoring sessions online tailored to individual student needs Assist students with homework, test preparation, and understanding core concepts in subjects such as math, computer science, and special education Develop customized lesson plans and educational materials to enhance learning outcomes Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents when appropriate Incorporate engaging teaching methods to motivate students and make learning enjoyable Maintain a safe, respectful, and encouraging classroom environment Utilize computer skills to access educational resources and track student performance Collaborate with teachers and parents to support student development and address specific learning challenges Assign and mark homework daily

Experience

Prior experience teaching/tutoring Grade 11-12 Math Familiar with Canadian Educational system, especially the Canadian Math Curriculum Demonstrated expertise in online tutoring or teaching High school Math Online classroom experience is a plus, especially in diverse or inclusive settings Strong computer skills for educational software and resource management Knowledge of effective teaching strategies and curriculum development is desirable
Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
