Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tutoring various subjects, including High School and above level Math, and experience working with children, including those with special educational needs. This role is essential in helping students achieve their academic goals and fostering a love for learning in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs. Assist students in understanding key concepts in subjects. Develop personalized lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and educational goals. Utilize effective teaching strategies to engage students and enhance their learning experience. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians as necessary. Create a positive and encouraging learning environment that promotes confidence and academic growth. Collaborate with teachers and other educational staff to support students' overall development.

Skills

Strong knowledge of Math and Ontario curriculum concepts. Experience working with children, including those with special education needs. Ability to educate effectively using various teaching methods tailored to different learning styles. Proficient in utilizing technology for educational purposes, including computer-based learning tools. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. Strong organizational skills to manage lesson plans, student progress tracking, and scheduling. Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed academically.
