Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable High School Teacher to inspire and educate students across a variety of science and mathematics disciplines. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in STEM subjects, including biology, chemistry, mathematics, and physics, with a passion for fostering academic growth and curiosity. This role involves developing engaging lesson plans, managing classroom activities, and supporting students' individual learning needs to prepare them for higher education and future careers.

Responsibilities



Design and deliver comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in subjects such as Math, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Incorporate learning technology and instructional design principles to enhance student engagement and understanding. Assess student progress through standardized testing, quizzes, projects, and classroom participation; provide constructive feedback. Manage classroom behavior to create a positive learning environment conducive to academic success. Develop curriculum materials that incorporate laboratory experiments, dissection activities, and research projects to deepen scientific understanding. Mentor students through tutoring sessions, academic advising, and individualized support tailored to diverse learning styles. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, school initiatives, and extracurricular activities related to STEM education. Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate progress with parents and administration. Stay current with educational best practices, research developments in science education, and advancements in teaching technology.

Experience



Prior classroom experience teaching high school students in science or mathematics is preferred. Demonstrated expertise in subjects such as Trigonometry, Geometry, Algebra, Calculus, Discrete Math, Differential Equations, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Microbiology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, and Science Research. Experience developing curriculum content that includes laboratory experiments, dissection techniques, and research laboratory work. Proven ability to manage classrooms effectively using behavior management strategies. Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and tutoring methods to support student achievement. Background in higher education teaching or private school settings is advantageous. Strong communication skills for effective instruction and collaboration with students, parents, and staff. Knowledge of learning technology tools for instructional purposes and research laboratory experience is a plus. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.20-$28.70 per hour
