part-time High School Math/Science Teacher / Tutor

Location

The chosen candidate will provide tutoring services at the Scholars Capitol Hill location, 1442 20 Ave NW, Calgary AB T2M 1G5.

Qualified candidates must possess:

Alberta Certified Teacher? is preferred Previous experience working with children in a tutoring environment is an asset. Excellent oral and written skills in English. Have a passion to help students reach their potential. Exceptionally organized and meticulous for attention to detail. Ability to teach groups of up to 2 students Must be able to teach math or science up to grade 12, including the following subjects: Math 30-1, Advanced Functions, Calculus and Vectors, Data Management, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry. Teachers who are qualified and competent to teach additional subjects are preferred.
Candidates must be able to work a minimum of two shifts per week during the following times.

Monday - Thursday, 4:00 - 8:00 pm Friday, 2:00 - 6:00 pm Saturday, 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

Calgary, AB T2M 1G5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:

teaching / tutoring: 1 year (required)
Work Location: In person
